Oat Fiber
Everyone knows the benefits of
oat fiber. Not only is it a great dietary fiber that
keeps our bodies regular,
oat
fiber is also rich in beta-glutan that clinical studies
have shown significantly reduces LDL and total
cholesterol in the human body. This
is important because studies show that more than
100 million Americans have elevated cholesterol levels.

Psyllium Husk
Psyllium husk is a strong dietary fiber refined from the
plant species Plantago ovata.
Psyllium fiber is not absorbed in the small intestine
and is broken down in the large intestine, thus becomes
a food source for the bacteria that live in the colon.
These healthy bacteria bulk up the stool, creating
larger softer stool which is easier to pass.
This makes Psyllium a great bulking agent that promotes
bowel regularity. It can be used regularly, as opposed
to harsh stimulant laxatives which should only be used
occasionally.
It is helpful in chronic constipation, irritable bowel
syndrome, diverticulosis, hiatus hernia and diabetes.
Soluble fiber may even lower cholesterol 10% to 15% if
enough is taken.
Other benefits of Psyllium fiber include: weight loss
control, and helpful for hemorrhoids (since it softens
stool).
